Slightly oversized and the perfect size to “cozy up” in, the Nicole Shawl was inspired by the natural tones of Range yarn, and by Nicole Dupuis’s The Gentle Knitter podcast. Nicole’s podcast inspired me to want to knit large swaths of mindful garter in alternating rows of stripes in natural North American fiber.

The beautiful, rich browns from the undyed yarn are knit in low-contrast micro-stripes sections offset by sections of meandering lace arches. The alternating sections are a meditative knit and designed in hopes that its beautiful textures and natural, Canadian yarn will gently keep you warm through the transitional season and the winter, and bring you comfort and joy for years to come.
