Inspired by Diana Barry of the Anne of Green Gables novels, this cowl is delicate and light, and keeps things not too serious. Diana is the kindred spirit and companion of Anne’s heart. She loves handiwork and does all kinds of delicate lacework in the novels.

This easy lace knitting pattern is dedicated to Diana and Anne’s friendship, and to my daughter, whose middle name is Anne, who wanted a cowl version of the Nicole Shawl “So I don’t keep losing the scarf.”
