Manchelopis - Unspun Yarn

Manchelopis is a stunning unspun yarn made of 100% Manchego Wool. Drafted slivers presented in doubled "plates," unspun yarn can span from DK to chunky weight when held double. 

This particular iteration of unspun yarn is soft and airy, with a really rich and gentle hand. Wool Dreamers in Spain created this yarn to honor the well known Manchego cheese sheep, to reduce waste. 

Due to the way that the yarn blooms and fills the space it's given in, it can be knit anywhere from US5 / 3.75 mm for DK weight qualities to US 10.5 / 6.5 mm for a chunky/bulky weight. 

The yardage given on this yarn is for the doubled yardage, as the yarn is wound in a double-strand for strength. That means you can calculate for the yardage that way rather than having to multiply yardage by 2.
